Week 3 came with loads of blowouts, a few early-season statements, and some teams (This is Mizerable) that may already need to start asking bigger questions. Before we get into the matchup recaps, we have to hand out the weekly hardware.
New Weekly Category: Total Bases
BTA Boys vs This is Mizerable
This one was typed up after Monday night due to the BTA Boys absolutely dominating, embarrassing and creaming all over This is Mizerable. Guys and Pauli G, I want to emphasize that this was an absolute shit show. At one point, BTA Boys were up 16-0, and there was real discussion about whether This is Mizerable would even get a single category.
It is still early in the season, but it feels pretty safe to say This is Mizerable is still deep in rebuild mode. On the other side, BTA Boys are looking like one of the teams to beat. Three weeks in, they are still undefeated, and the confidence around this roster is only growing.
Me So Heorny vs Goodyear Gila Monsters
This had all the makings of one of the great matchups of the week, and Me So Heorny came out in control and never really gave the Goodyear Gila Monsters a chance to turn it into a close one. Even though the final score looks lopsided, several hitting categories were actually pretty close and could have swung the other way.
The difference ended up being on the mound, where Me So Heorny absolutely crushed. Even if some of the hitting categories flipped, it would have been enough due to Goodyear’s atrocious pitching line: a 6.02 ERA, .271 BAA, and 1.50 WHIP. Honestly, it reminds me of Jake Bramble's pitching stats back at Westside. But that is now two straight weeks of ugly pitching numbers for a team that expects to contend. If i was Goodyear, I'd think of trading Skubal. Wouldn't want to waste his prime on such a mid pitching staff.
BB’s Bold Team vs You Don’t Know Bo
Our final undefeated team and 2025 Runner Up, BB’s Bold Team, took down the 2025 GM of the Year, You Don’t Know Bo, 11.5 - 4.5. BB’s Bold Team might not have had their sharpest week, but it was easily enough to take down Bo. Through three weeks, BB’s Bold Team is doing exactly what a top-tier contender is supposed to do: stack wins early, control categories, and keep themselves right near the top of the standings.
Bo still has not found a win yet this season as his team continues to really struggle. But being the 2025 GM of the Year, we know he’ll turn it around… lol SIKE. Like Goodyear, they better look at finding some more pitching if they want to compete. Only putting up 36 innings this week is tough, especially when the pitchers have been struggling as much as Bo’s as they put up a 5:50 ERA, 1.63 WHIP and .308 BAA. And again, reminds me of Bramble’s pitching stats over at Westside. But the once dominant Crochet is looking like hot garbage and Sasaki needs to go back to Japan. And offensively, Nick Kurtz is looking like a bum, Springer needs to retire, and the $200 spent on auction for Otto Lopez MIGHT not have been worth it. Better look at that waiver this week!
Dixon Cider vs Mactown MacDaddies
The 2025 defending champion, Dixon Cider, put together another solid week and took down the struggling Mactown MacDaddies by a comfortable margin. Dixon Cider’s offense is finally looking like they're back in shape as they hit 16 homeruns, 65 runs , 48 walks, and 145 Total Bases. Pretty elite numbers to go along with very solid pitching that is highlighted by 92 strikeouts and a .196 BAA.
The Mactown MacDaddies are another team that is yet to find a win and continue to put up mid stats each week. The numbers aren't terrible but when you're competing against the bgidawgs, you better bring your A game! The MacDaddies just neeed to get thie volume up as the had 276 ABs to Dixon Ciders 305 and 55 IPs to Dixon Ciders 84
The Big Gay John’s Super Team vs Gunnarrhea
This was the closest matchup of the slate, and The Big Gay John’s Super Team narrowly avoided what would have been a baaaaad case of Gunnarrhea. In the end, they escaped with a 9-7 win, but this was a battle much tighter than some of the other Week 3 results. John’s Super Team dominated hitting where Gunnarrhea took the pitching
Pitching was an area John’s Super Penis stuggled last year. But with the pickup of the top pitcher in baseball Jose Soriano and his consistent dominant performances, he was able to steal the WHIP category and take the win. But it’s only a matter of time until Soriano beats his boyfriend and Johnboy is back to having a struggling rotation.
