Upsets Everywhere: Nobody is Safe, Except for The BTA Boyz Opponent

Oh, I know this one felt good for Johnboy. After three rough weeks of looking completely lost, John's Super Team finally decided to show up when it mattered most and took down one of the hottest teams in the league. It was not some ridiculous offensive explosion either, but John did enough across the board with 70 hits, 38 runs, 37 RBI, 34 walks, 81 strikeouts, and 6 steals. The biggest difference came on the pitching side, where John's Super Team posted a 4.20 ERA, 1.176 WHIP, 4 wins, 2 losses, 2 quality starts, 3 net saves, and a .229 BAA. None of those numbers are honestly great, but compared to what Goodyear put up, they were more than enough to turn this into a surprisingly comfortable win.

Goodyear had to cool off eventually after spending the last month looking near unbeatable. Goodyear still had some solid moments with 73 hits, 42 runs, 11 homers, 41 and walks , but the offense was nowhere close to the terrifying level we have gotten used to seeing. Hitting just .222 and scoring only 122 total bases left the door wide open, and the pitching never slammed it shut. Goodyear finished with a 4.50 ERA, 1.320 WHIP, 3 wins, 4 losses, a .253 BAA, only 1 quality start... ONE QUALITY START... Bruh what the fuck. You're saying outta the entire week all you can muster is ONE Quality start?! Jesus fucking Christ is that fucking wild. Well whatever, I guess after weeks of bulldozing everybody, the Monsters finally looked human, and John's Super Team made sure to capitalize on it.

Gunnarrhea can't stop spreading!! That's four straight wins for the team that was sitting in ninth place not too long ago. This wasn't another beatdown of a bottom feeder either. They marched right into a matchup against the league's second-place team and walked away with the victory. Not like it matters who they face though. Every one of you shrimps is nothing compared to the big, bad, and nasty Gunnarrhea. How did Me So Heorny even get to that 2 seed anyways? How did y'all let them win this much? It's really not that hard.... But when you got a powerhouse offense piling up 89 hits, 58 runs, 18 homers, 54 RBI, 38 walks, 7 steals, and 157 total bases while hitting a scorching .276, it's tough for anyone to keep up. The pitching wasn't too shabby either and it kept them in the game with 77 innings, 94 strikeouts, 6 wins, 6 quality starts, and a .214 BAA. But pitching for Gunnarrhea

Me So Heorny I know this one hurts and they deserves a ton of credit because this matchup looked completely dead by the middle of the week. After trailing 15-1 on Wednesday, they somehow clawed all the way back to make Sunday matter. Their pitching was absolutely filthy, finishing with a ridiculous 1.93 ERA, 1.004 WHIP, 94 strikeouts, 6 wins, 6 quality starts, 7 net saves, and a microscopic .187 BAA. Unfortunately, Emerson Hancock leaving Sunday's start after bruising his finger may have been the difference. A few more innings from Hancock likely breaks the tie from multiple pitching categories and completely changes the outcome. Instead, Me So Heorny watched one of the best pitching performances of the season go to waste because the offense simply couldn't keep pace. The miraculous comeback was so close. Hate to see it.

The 1st place BB's Bold Team had it's bye week this week so their numbers didn't even matter. But the fact BB only won 10-6 to an opponent that doesn't care is a little concerning. The offense definitely pulled its weight with 80 hits, 50 runs, 13 homers, 43 RBI, 32 walks, 6 steals, and 138 total bases, but the pitching looks to have took a snooze this week with 71.2 innings, a 4.14 ERA, 70 strikeouts, 5 quality starts, and 6 net saves. But if they we're to have a little off week, now would be the time to do it since their opponent doesn't want to play. Easy guarnteed win as we all expected.

I know it's very frusterating for a lot of teams because The BTA Boyz had the opprutinity to win this week if they cared to look, but they just keep on blowing off setting their lineup. IL guys still starting, non IL guys still sitting in the IL spots. But what are ya gonna do? Can't force em to look. But here's another reminder that if the BTA Boyz take 2 minutes to set their lineup, they probably steal a few wins instead of handing them out.

Here is another suprising upset as This is Mizerable, the man living at the bottom of the barrell for much of the season, took down the defending 2025 champ and old roomie Dixon Cider with a 8.5 - 7.5 photo finish! This is Mizerable has had a pretty simple formula the past couple of weeks, and that's let the pitching do all the work. This strat did not change in their matchup against the defending champ. Mize threw another gem with 74.1 innings, a sparkling 2.54 ERA, an unbelievable 0.969 WHIP, 78 strikeouts, 8 quality starts, 4 net saves, and a microscopic .175 BAA. Remmeber when Goodyear only had 1 QS this week?! LOL. But Mize took 7.5/8 of the pitching categories and when you do that, it's hard to lose. They only way to lose that is if your opponent can somehow swing every single hitting category, which Dixon Cider ALMOST did.

And honestly, Dixon Cider probably can't believe they lost this matchup. The offense was absolutely mashing, putting up 86 hits, 52 runs, 19 homers, 49 RBI, 35 walks, 6 steals, and 156 total bases while hitting .267. That's usually enough to cruise to a victory. But the strikeouts came back to haunt the defending champs, and a late pitching category flipped on Sunday to swing the entire matchup. Despite posting a respectable 3.39 ERA, Dixon couldn't overcome Mize's ridiculous ratios and quality starts, turning what looked like another championship-caliber offensive week into a heartbreaking loss.

You Don't Know Bo, the 2025 GM of the Year, catches some heat as they win 2 games in a row after coasting through the Mactown MacDaddies 11.5 - 4.5. The last time I remember Bo getting a little win streak going is when they started getting back into The Show, so I'd be willing to bet Brett's paycheck that he started playing The Show again. He's winning games and making waiver wire pickups, it's the only explination. But either way, Bo didn't need to do much work this week but their offense came to play anyways but putting up 72 hits, 44 runs, 16 homers, 52 RBI, 34 walks, 5 steals, and 140 total bases. The pitching didn't really out to play and it still looks like a little bit of a concern as they post 36.1 innings, with a 4.46 ERA, 2 wins, and no losses. But it was enough to get by.

Speaking of that team... what the hell happened to the MacDaddies? The once-feared Nuketown MacDaddies have completely lost their identity. The offense looked lifeless with just 71 hits, 33 runs, 7 homers, 25 RBI, and 106 total bases, while the pitching somehow looked even worse despite throwing 38.2 innings. A 5.59 ERA, 1.474 WHIP, 4 losses, and only 25 strikeouts isn't going to beat anybody. It honestly feels like the Phillies and Dodgers decided to take the entire week off because that's where half of Mac's roster lives. But I will also say year one taught us never to completely count them out... but right now this team looks a whole lot closer to the draft lottery than the championship.
